My stay at the hostel was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The location was quiet and safe, although a bit far from the center of Dublin's activities. The service was friendly, but there were some unexpected intrusions that made me uncomfortable. The dining was affordable, but the quality of the food was lacking. The rooms were decent but had some issues with smell and temperature regulation.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms felt a bit cold and not well isolated, and there was a persistent stuffy smell. The communal showers were dated.
Service
7.0

Location
8.0

Dining

The hotel’s location is excellent, close to key attractions like Temple Bar and with the best Irish traditional music sessions nearby. The rooms, although facing the main square that can be loud at night, were not as impressive and got quite hot; maybe they could improve ventilation during hot seasons. The service was a mix of very friendly staff who addressed all my needs and some unfriendly encounters where staff chatted instead of taking care of guests. The dining options were a bit overpriced and not worth the money, especially when considering plain offerings like bread with ham and cheese. Despite feeling a little unsafe walking alone at night, the overall location is great and convenient to explore the city center on foot.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were facing the main square, which was noisy and bright at night. They were not too impressive and got very hot; better window ventilation could help during hot seasons.
Service
7.0
The service was a mix of really friendly encounters where all my needs were addressed and unfriendly moments where staff were not very approachable. Despite this mix, I appreciated the friendly staff who even switched me to an all-female dorm at no extra cost.
Location
8.0
The location is excellent, with easy access to key spots like Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, and the best Irish traditional music sessions at The Cobblestone. However, it might feel a little dodgy at night, especially when walking alone.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not the best; some options were overpriced, like plain bread with ham and cheese. It might not be worth spending 7.50€ for such offerings.
Facilities
The facilities could be improved, especially in terms of dining value for money. Some areas were disappointing, considering the prices charged.

The hostel was a mixed experience. The rooms could be a bit cleaner, and the noise from the entertainment space made it hard to sleep without earplugs. On the bright side, the rooms were spacious and clean. The location was not ideal, being a bit far from the city center, although it offers ample space for socializing with other travelers. The dining experience was lackluster, with tasteless food catered more towards young student groups. The service was friendly but had some hiccups with housekeeping oversights.

The hotel is conveniently located near the tram stop in a bit of a rough area. The rooms were very clean and well-organized, but the toilets being on a different floor was inconvenient and they were quite dusty. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help, even lending me a power adaptor. The dining options were overpriced and not great, especially for the price. The location was convenient in terms of transportation but not ideal for walking late at night.

The hotel is located close to River Liffey in the Smithfield area, next to the popular Cobblestone Pub. The rooms are always clean, and there are great common areas and bars, though the size of the hotel makes it feel less intimate. Service is attentive, especially from staff member Hazel, who checked bags for alcohol. The location is good for exploring Smithfield but a bit far from downtown. Dining is expensive for small portions, but the hotel is in a very good area of Dublin.

My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were warm, making sleep challenging at times. It was not ideal to have some long-term guests spending all day inside, making it a bit uncomfortable. On the upside, the rooms themselves were cozy and decent.

Rooms

The rooms were warm, which made it tough to sleep sometimes. There were long-term hosts around throughout the day, which wasn't ideal.
Service

The service had its ups and downs. While some of the staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable, others were not as friendly. They did offer guidance on the area and were generally approachable.
Location

The hotel's location was quite nice, with a convenient connection to the LUAS and a vibrant nightlife feel. However, it was a bit far from the city center for my liking.
Dining

The hotel is situated in a lively area, the service was friendly and attentive, but the dining experience was less than satisfactory. The location offers both convenience and some safety concerns at night.

Rooms
6.0
The room was decent, with adequate storage and a movement-friendly layout. However, there was a persistent and unpleasant smell, and it tended to get too warm overnight due to limited ventilation.
Service
9.0
The service was genuinely warm and helpful, making me feel welcomed. The staff even picked up on my birthday from the booking details and offered a complimentary drink, creating a friendly atmosphere. They also arranged for me to have a lower bunk, perfect for a young and energetic crowd.
Location
8.0
The location was great, near popular attractions like The Cobblestone for Irish music sessions, Jameson's, and within easy reach of Guinness, saving on public transport costs. However, it felt slightly dodgy at night due to a lack of main streets nearby.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were inexpensive and decent within the hostel, offering good value for money. However, the additional cost for breakfast was not worthwhile as the quality was lacking, with cold food, poorly cooked items, and even subpar drinks.

The hotel was more like a hostel, without its own toilet & shower which wasn't ready for hours after check-in time. The location was hectic with no AC or fans in the room, but it was close to downtown and streets.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were basic without their own toilet & shower and took a while to be ready, but they served their purpose for a short stay.
Service
6.0
The service was average, not outstanding but not terrible either. It was what I expected for the price I paid.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient for exploring the busy downtown and streets, but the lack of AC or fans made it a bit uncomfortable.
Dining

I didn't dine at the hotel as there were plenty of cafes nearby offering more affordable breakfast options.
Facilities

The hotel had clean rooms but they could become quite warm and felt dark being downstairs. The service was kind overall, offering free towels and breakfast to Spanish/Portuguese speakers. The location was nice but not the closest to the center. The dining experience was somewhat basic. The hotel had good facilities for relaxing.

Rooms

7.4/10

The hostel offers convenient access to Dublin's city center with a location close to public transportation and tourist attractions. The rooms, though a bit small for the price, provide lockers but lack good air circulation due to small windows. The service is generally friendly and helpful, although there were some instances of unhelpful responses from staff. Dining options are available but may be overpriced compared to nearby cafes. Despite some drawbacks, the hostel is a good choice for budget travelers exploring Dublin.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms, with numbered beds and lockers, can feel cramped with people coming and going. The small windows limit air circulation, and considering the price of 28 Euros for a bed in an 8-bed dormitory, they are on the smaller side.
Service
8.0
The staff are generally helpful and cheerful, with quick assistance provided. However, there were instances where they were not as helpful or accommodating, particularly regarding check-in times.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just off the Luas and near the city center, making it highly accessible for exploring Dublin's tourist attractions. While a 20-minute walk from Temple Bar, it is conveniently close to public transport options.
Dining
6.0
While dining is available on-site, the pricing may deter guests, especially with more affordable and pleasant breakfast choices at nearby cafes.
Facilities
7.0
Basic facilities are offered, including some toiletries for sale. However, there are opportunities to improve the dining experience and provide better value for money.

I stayed at this hostel during my trip to Dublin. The rooms were comfy, and despite being opposite some European partygoers, I found them clean and suitable for my needs. The value for the price was amazing with 6 beds available, making it a great budget option. The service was a mixed bag as the staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but I had a challenging experience when I lost my passport and missed a flight due to the hostel's conditions. The location was quite nice and very convenient for exploring Dublin with easy access to transportation, but the surroundings had some drawbacks. The dining experience was hit or miss, with some good options available on-site but at an extra charge, and the overall facilities were decent for a hostel.

The hostel offers quick and stable wifi, good facilities, and clean rooms, but noise isolation could be improved, and the lack of air conditioning is inconvenient in the summer. The location is reachable from major railway stations and close to the city center, with easy transport access. Dining options could be better, and prices may not align with the quality. Overall, a decent value for money option.
